SUMMARY

There is acquired degenerative mitral valve disease here with associated mild to moderate mitral regurgitation, however there is no chamber dilation or cardiac remodelling and this is not currently clinically significant. Evaluation for primary respiratory disease is advised.

B-MODE

 

Comments: the mitral valve is slightly thickened and irregular but otherwise cardiac chambers, valves and outflow tracts appear normal and systolic function is good. Heart rate is approximately 80bpm, sinus arhythmia

LA:Ao ratio (RPS LA, normal <2.5) 2.2

FS 41%, EPSS 0.1cm.
