Ultrasound Equipment
The Vivid IQ from GE Healthcare is a high-performance, portable laptop ultrasound system with digital spectral and colour-flow Doppler, suitable for advanced cardiac and abdominal imaging.
GE’s patented beamforming technology and digital filtering techniques help to provide fantastic image quality. Broadband curvilinear and linear probes, operating at between 4 and 13 MHz, facilitate high resolution abdominal imaging in patients of all bodyweights.
Cardiac imaging is provided by 3 phased array probes, ranging from 1 to 11 MHz – 5 probes in total. In addition, an ECG attachment is always used for accurate timing of cardiac measurements.

8C-RS Probe – 4-10Mhz Micro Convex

12L-RS Probe – 4.5-13Mhz Linear

3SC-RS Probe – 1-4Mhz Phased Array

6S-RS Probe – 2-8Mhz Phased Array

12S-RS Probe – 5-11Mhz Phased Array
Endoscopy Equipment
NVi has a full portable HD Huger system with a viewing screen and with image and video recording and transfer via USB stick allowing immediate on-site image transfer. There is a range of veterinary specific endoscopes as follows:
Veterinary specific video gastroduodenoscope with an 8mm outer diameter, a 2.8mm channel for large biopsies, and a 1.5 metre working length. The veterinary specific nature of this videoscope allows for pyloric intubation of all patients from approximately 4-60kg, and for ileocolic intubation in patients over 10kg.
Veterinary specific video feline gastroduodenoscope with a 5mm outer diameter, 2.0mm channel and 4 way angulation allowing for pyloric intubation in smaller cats under 4kg. This can also be used for bronchoscopy in larger dogs.
Veterinary specific fibre bronchoscope with 3.9mm OD suitable for bronchoscopy in patients of all sizes. Used in combination with mucus collection traps for bronchoalveolar lavage, as when used with suction these produce a vastly higher yield than lavages performed using catheter aspiration techniques.
Rigid endoscopes (2.1mm forward-facing, and 2.7mm 30 degree) to permit rhinoscopy and cystoscopy with sheaths which have fluid ingress taps for continuous flushing to optimise visualisation, and again a range of interventional accessories to permit biopsy and retrieval.
